As of January 30, 2023 USCIS will start issuing a new redesigned Green Card and EAD (employment authorization document). This is an initiative against counterfeiting and fraud. The new cards have several features to improve security. The current versions of the cards were issued in May of 2017, the cards will continue to be valid.
