USICS has received sufficient petitions to reach the 65,000 H-1B visa regular cap and the 20,000 H-1B advanced degree exemption (Master’s cap) for the fiscal year 2023.
By now, if you have not been selected, you should have received a non-selection notification.
USCIS will continue to accept and process petitions that are otherwise exempt from the cap. Petitions filed for current H-1B workers who have been counted previously against the cap, and who will still retain their cap number, are exempt from the 2023 H-1B cap.
USCIS will continue to accept and process petitions to:
- Extend the amount of time a current H-1B worker may remain in the U.S.;
- Change the terms of employment for current H-1B workers;
- Allow current H-1B workers to change employers; and
- Allow current H-1b workers to work concurrently in addition H-1B positions.
If you are a U.S. Business that use the H-1B program to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations we encourage you to subscribe to the H-1B cap season email updates.
